
Clara Facy
Clara Facy is a young mining professional with a scientific academic background and an international experience in assessing mining investment opportunities. She is currently part of the Business Development team at De Beers Group – the world’s leading diamond company, active in the exploration, mining and marketing of diamonds for more than a century.
Clara analyses growth opportunities for the group, from diamond mining to retail, based on an in-depth understanding of the diamond market.
Before joining the London office of De Beers Group, Clara worked for two years at IXM (formerly known as Louis Dreyfus Company Metals) where she was part of the Business Development team of the Geneva-based metal trader, assessing mining investment opportunities both from a technical and financial point of view.
Clara studied geoscience and finance with an academic expertise on diamond mine project assessment for which she was awarded the Oldfield Robinson fund scholarship. She holds an M.Sc. in Metals and Energy Finance from Imperial College London and a M.Sc. in Engineering from CentraleSupélec (France).
